The Seductress: “A young woman devoid of understanding…with her enticing speech she caused him to yield; with her flattering lips she seduced him. Immediately he went after her...till an arrow struck his liver, as a bird hastens to a snare. He did not know it will cost him his life.”(Proverbs 7)
Every day we have the opportunity to choose life or death, blessing or cursing, wickedness or righteousness; God or our enemy-Satan. What are we choosing or who are we submitting to in our lives today? Let us endeavor to choose what is right and pleasing to God, because our eternal life depends on what or who we choose to give allegiance to. God gave us a free will and He would not violate it and that is why things are out of control because of the choices we have made or not made. God wants the best for us but if we do not freely submit to His Son, Jesus or to Him, He cannot in any way help us. He wants us to choose things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy. Choose well my friends.
The Watchmen: How can we reconcile with the explosion of wanton destruction and desolation in our midst? It seems we are fighting another pandemic of a different kind. This is a spiritual pandemic embroiled with evil. The Church has been the watchmen, the gatekeepers of the cities and when the Church is silent or closed down, shut off, shut out it gives Satan free reign and opportunity to strut out his chest, puffed up with glee, walking unhindered with all his tricks in his bag ready to annihilate us, and all the time pointing and jesting at this great opportunity to wreak havoc in our lives.
What we see today and for past three months is just that. The watchmen are the ones who watch over, pray over and spiritually guard the city-but they have been forced to be silent and evil has taken over the city in the guise of protest for justice. What we have seen is contrary to justice. What we have seen is complete disregard for justice. What we have seen is the result of the closing of the Church- there are no watchmen. We must demand to our leaders to reopen the Church because it will only get worse ,unless we stand against this evil.
