THE WINE OF CONFUSION:

 Have you ever consumed some type of alcoholic beverage to the point of confusion? Well, if you did you know how disoriented a person can be if they consume past the legal limit. The Bible spoke about being broken down, being displeasure to God, and about the hard things we experience in life.

 It is as if we have drunk the "wine of confusion." Some of us have experienced great and severe troubles. Some have been torn apart by circumstances and some of been stricken by pains of adversity.

But God in His infinite goodness has promised to heal our wounds, to revives us that we may live in His sight. He promised to restore the broken places in our hearts and deliver us from the depths of despair when we reverence Him.

He calls us His beloved and He is our Beloved. He is our Help from trouble and through Him, we do valiantly. God will obliterate our enemies but we must trust Him.

FALSE BELIEVERS

How do we identify someone who is not a true believer of God? 

False believers are identified by their fruit by following their sinful desires: sexual immorality, impurity, lustful pleasures, idolatry, sorcery, hostility, quarreling, jealousy, outbursts of anger, selfish ambition, dissension, division, envy, drunkenness, wild parties, and other sins like these. Anyone who lives like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. 

They have perverted the Word of God and modified it to the prevailing culture in the guise of inclusivity, tolerance, and progressivity. They have compromised with seducing spirits that are in the “church. 

According to 1 Timothy 4:(1) ”Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. (2) These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.” 

We are not to get caught in the snares of the enemy because even the very elect will be deceived. Our only authentic source is the Bible and every Christian must know the Word of God. This is our sword, our weapon against the invading forces of evil that is encompassing us. 

Jesus reminded us we will be hated because for His Namesake but we are soldiers in the army of God and our weapons are spiritual. Trust God.

WHAT DOES THE WORD CHRISTIAN MEAN?

What does the word Christian means? 

It means we who worship and follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. According to Acts 11:26, Christ-followers were first called Christians in Antioch, the name of two cities in Greece. Christians were identified in the first century. These were people who professed the name of Christ. Today in our society there are many people who profess to be Christians but they are not.

 Some refer to them as fake Christians but this is oxymoronic and mutually incompatible. The word Christian itself encompasses the teachings of Jesus Christ. Those who believe they are Christians and do not follow the word of God are not called Christians. These people are deluding themselves. 

A Christian is known by its fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. We believe the Bible is the uncompromised, unchanging Word of God. That Jesus died for our sins, was resurrected on the third day and ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of the Father. 

Jesus is our High Priest and our Savior. Matthew 7:21 stated “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the realm of heaven’s kingdom. It is only those who persist in doing the will of my heavenly Father.” (TPT)

According to God's Word, people will depart from the faith as the end of time draws nigh and will be consumed by delusional thinking, absurdity and irrational thought, according to Rick Renner.  Many people will be led astray by seducing spirits which are all around us in the atmosphere. Delusional thinking robs us of common sense and a rejection of the truth. 

These seducing spirits' intention are to plot against society making people wander or veer from the faith, doctrine or long-held, time-tested teachings of Scripture. People are moving away from traditional values and biblical teachings and beliefs. They are abandoning the truth and eliminating godly foundations and replacing them with political correct progressive thinking seeping into every avenue of society like a plague.

This is demonic of full proportion and confusion and instability. Rick went on to say, people will get so morally confused by these demons or evil spirits which are the primary cause of disasters, suffering, and insanity. When a person believes an elective surgery to alter their sex would make them into the gender they prefer then we know we are at the end of time.

These invasions of evil spirits are mutiny against God and worldwide deception. 1Timothy 4:1, Matt. 24:34.

LOVE OUR ENEMIES

LOVE OTHERS AS GOD LOVED US

I heard my pastor preached on a sermon today on "who is my neighbor". It is such an important and relevant question and the answer is even more enlightening in the Scriptures. Jesus taught us how to love even our enemies. Matthew 5:(43) stated "You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’[a] and hate your enemy. (44) But I say, love your enemies![b] Pray for those who persecute you!

In James, he gave us a warning in verse 1: "My dear brothers and sisters,[a] how can you claim to have faith in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ if you favor some people over others?" He went on to say in verses 8-9, regarding the royal law: "Love your neighbor as yourself.”[a] 9 But if you favor some people over others, you are committing a sin." 1 Corinthians 13:2 declared "if I have faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing."

And John 13:35 further claried our walk as Christ-followers, "By this everyone will know that you are my disciples if you love one another." LOVE IS THE BEDROCK AND FOUNDATION OF CHRISTIANITY even in the face of persecution and hatred. Let us all strive to follow Jesus' example.

WHY BAD THINGS HAPPEN? 

I heard Keith Moore preached about this and I thought how blessed and privileged I am to be part of the family of God. But Keith was right because bad things do happen to everyone when they stray. The reason is simply-SIN. The curse devoured the earth when Adam and Eve disobeyed God and bowed their knees to the enemy.

As we peruse the panoramic landscape we can see the evidence of the devastation of the curse everywhere. However, we must be very cautious that we never, ever ascribe or attribute the works of the enemy to God. That is blasphemy. Satan or the devil is our enemy and he is the god of this world and the instigator or architect of the curse, sin, and death.

God is a good, good God and there is no evil or wickedness in Him. He created us because He wanted us to be His family and for us to love Him and worship Him. Those who adhere to God's will for themselves will inherit the kingdom of God.

Since we live in a fallen world everything is not going to work out for every person except those of us who know God and love Him with all of our hearts. Romans 6:12 (NLT) reminds us we must not let sin control the way we live; do not give in to sinful desires. We are not helpless victims of our thoughts. With God on our side, we have nothing to fear.

We are all susceptible to bad things happening to us while we live on this earth, including babies and animals. The curse is ubiquitous. Sin and death are the evidence of the curse and the enemy is at work in every instance. When God created the earth and mankind and everything in the earth He pronounced it good.

God reminded us 'many are the afflictions of the righteous but He will deliver us from them all.' Problems are a part of life and so is sickness, disease, pain, and poverty. We are all in danger of having bad things happen to us. The question is, why is God's protection off of us? God cannot and will not associate Himself with people who actively participate in a sinful lifestyle. He has specifically told us through His Word we will all perish if we refuse to repent.

As Christians, we have the Living Hope dwelling in us and we have the "unparalleled advantage as overcomers" in Christ Jesus. "We are kept," by God. God always protects His own and He has our backs no matter what. Those who don't know God or who refuse to abide by His rules of right living will not be under His protection and will succumb to evil, the curse, and ultimately eternal death. I choose God, who do you choose? Trust God with all of our hearts and lean not unto our own understanding.
